MoveMed

This is a multimodal exercise class designed by clinical exercise physiologists to be safe for people living with high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and/or joint conditions.

For each exercise in this class, we offer level 1 (beginner), level 2 (intermediate) and level 3 (advanced) versions of the exercise so that you can work at the level that suits you, and build up progressively over time. 

For this class you will need:

  • You may need a chair to assist with some exercises.
  • Free weights such as dumbbells and/or kettlebells. You can improvise with household items such as water bottles or tinned cans.
  • An exercise mat or fluffy towel.
  • A drink of water to sip on throughout the class.
