Let’s talk about BALANCED NUTRITION
Balanced nutrition refers to consuming a variety of foods in appropriate amounts to maintain overall health and well-being. It involves consuming the right combination of macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, and fats), micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), and adequate hydration to support bodily functions and promote optimal health .
A balanced diet typically includes:
Fruits and Vegetables: These provide essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber necessary for good health.
Whole Grains: Foods like brown rice, whole wheat bread, and quinoa offer complex carbohydrates, fiber, and various nutrients.
Protein: Lean sources of protein such as poultry, fish, beans, lentils, tofu, and nuts contribute to muscle repair, immune function, and overall growth and development. Dairy products such as milk, yogurt, cheese, and plant-based alternatives provide calcium and other nutrients important for bone health.
Healthy Fats: Foods like avocados, nuts, seeds, and olive oil contain monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which are beneficial for heart health and overall well-being.
Hydration: Drinking an adequate amount of water is essential for proper hydration and overall bodily functions.
