‘MenoWell’ has been shown to improve cardiorespiratory fitness, upper- and lower-body muscular strength and endurance, lower-back and hamstring flexibility, menopausal symptoms, subjective wellbeing, and physical self-efficacy. You can read our ‘MenoWell’ research paper HERE.
This programme is starting on Monday 29th September at 1.00pm and is aimed at women living in county Longford.
The 40-minute live online exercise classes are instructed in real-time and include a suitable warm up and cool down. These exercise classes will focus on strength and balance training, with aerobic and flexibility exercises included in the warm-up and cool down. All exercise classes are designed by clinical exercise physiologists specifically for women of all ages and all fitness abilities, including those living with clinical conditions. The exercise videos included in the on-demand library can be performed at a time and a place most suitable to you, making it as easy as possible for you to be as fit and as healthy as possible, anytime, anywhere.
The 30-minute health education workshops are delivered by experts via Zoom and focus on different topics relating to women’s health and the menopause journey including muscle, bone, and cardiovascular health, healthy nutrition, sleep hygiene and self-care. Please note, this programme focuses on evidence-based practices in lifestyle medicine. The health education workshops are recorded so you can watch them back at any time throughout the 6-week programme.
