‘Prime Time of Life’ with County Kildare Leader Partnership is a FREE 8-week in-person evidence-based multimodal exercise and health education programme for adults over 35 years, including those living with clinical conditions.
EduFIT’s research has shown participation in ‘Prime Time of Life’ has led to improvements in aerobic fitness, muscular fitness (strength, endurance, and power), balance, flexibility, physical activity participation, and perceptions of physical health, mental health, and quality of life. These results are consistent in all programmes (online and in-person) that have been delivered since by EduFIT and affiliate instructors across Ireland. You can read our ‘Prime Time of Life’ research papers HERE.
This programme is starting on Monday 27th April 2026 and is for adults over 35 years living in county Kildare, including those living with clinical conditions.

The exercise classes will include a suitable warm up and cool down. These exercise classes will focus on strength and balance training, with aerobic, flexibility, and mobility exercises included in the warm-up and cool down. All exercise classes are designed by clinical exercise physiologists specifically for adults over 35 years of age of all fitness abilities, including those living with clinical conditions. The exercise videos included in the on-demand library can be performed at a time and a place most suitable to you, making it as easy as possible for you to be as fit and as healthy as possible, anytime, anywhere.
The 15-minute health education masterclasses are delivered by experts via Zoom and focus on different topics relating to healthy ageing. Please note, this programme focuses on evidence-based practices in lifestyle medicine. The health education workshops will be streamed live in the exercise classes and are recorded so you can watch them back at any time, during or after the programme.
The ‘Prime Time of Life’ programme is designed and delivered by EduFIT, in partnership with Laois Sports Partnership, Pobal, Sláintecare and the Government of Ireland, and is funded by County Kildare Leader Partnership. If you have any questions, please contact us by email on programmes@edufit.ie.
